Closed beta on September 30

Hi everyone, I'm Ares, game director on VEKTOR. I've been wanting to write this for months, and today I finally can: our closed beta opens on September 30, and I'd really like you to be part of it.

We've been building this game for a long time, mostly in silence, and letting people in is both exciting and a little terrifying. So let me be honest with you from the start: we're further behind than we'd like. There are systems we still want to polish, content we still want to add and rough edges we're perfectly aware of. Even so, we'd rather show you where we are than keep waiting for a perfect moment that never arrives, because feedback from real matches will teach us more in a week than months of internal testing. When the closed beta wraps up, we'll announce the date for the open beta.

I also want to be clear about something we think about a lot: we know we won't be judged like other games in beta. People will compare us to titles that have been live for years, with huge teams and huge budgets behind them. That doesn't favour us, and we accept it. We'll go step by step, patch by patch, and let the game grow at its own pace. Luckily this project doesn't represent a huge development cost for us, so a slow climb doesn't scare us — although we'll do everything we can to give this community the boom it deserves.

That's exactly why we want to hear you. Every idea, every complaint, every small detail that feels off. The best place for that is the game's official Discord server: we read it every day, and a lot of what ends up in the game starts there as someone's message.

One practical note before you sign up. During the closed and the open beta the game's text will be available in the same languages as this site: English, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish. In-game voices will only be in Spanish and English for now, and we'll keep adding more as we move forward.
